Hundreds of families will receive nutritious snacks just in time for the Back-to-School season
Mississauga, September 1, 2023 – Rabba Fine Foods, in collaboration with Lassonde and The Mississauga Food Bank, is proud to announce another initiative through its Rabba Roots Community Giving program. Thanks to the generous support of Lassonde, Rabba has donated over 4000 Organic Juice boxes and nearly 4500 nutritious SunRype Fruitsource Fruit Snacks to The Mississauga Food Bank. This contribution comes just before the start of the school year, aiming to assist local children and families during the back-to-school rush.
Rabba Fine Foods has been partnering with The Mississauga Food Bank for over fifteen years. The 24/7 neighbourhood grocery store, with its “Here for You” promise, works closely with vendor partners to continuously secure essentials to support its neighbours in need.
“We are grateful to be able to help hundreds of children and provide them with healthy snacks to give them energy to learn,” says Rima Rabba, leader of the Rabba Roots Community Giving Program. “Respected partners like Lassonde are integral to the success of our Rabba Roots program. Without partnerships like this one we would not be able to help support The Mississauga Food Bank and its important work.”
The number of neighbours in need who have turned to The Mississauga Food Bank has increased by almost 60% compared to before the pandemic.
Rabba, with its vendors, regularly joins forces to assist its valued community partners. Through the Rabba Roots Community Giving Program, the company aims to contribute items that foster a healthy lifestyle, promoting and encouraging sustainable, health-conscious choices.
