Mississauga, Ont., June 4, 2025 – Rabba Fine Foods, the GTA’s neighbourhood local market, has received the prestigious Innovation Award at the 2025 CIGBA/DCI Star Awards held last night in Brampton, Ontario. The award recognizes Rabba for a series of forward thinking initiatives implemented throughout the past year, including new foodservice programs, modernizing store layouts and enhancing digital engagement and in-store experience.

Presented by the Canadian Independent Grocers’ Buying Association (CIGBA), the Innovation Award is given to a CIGBA/DCI retailer or supplier partner who has established an innovative product or initiative in the last year, with measurable success in areas such as sales, traffic, branding, exposure, or new business deals and ventures.
“Through these initiatives, we and other independent retailers are showing the extent to which we can embrace new trends and technologies to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers,” continued Rabba.
