Mississauga, Ont., June, 2023 – Grocery Business Magazine announced today that Jack Rabba, Founder of Rabba Fine Foods, has been inducted into the Grocery Business Hall of Fame.
The Grocery Business Hall of Fame honours individuals for their outstanding contributions to the grocery industry and to the communities they serve. A total of 30 inductees were selected across four categories representing some of the most influential names in Canadian grocery. Jack Rabba was recognized in the Retailer category.
“I am so very proud to be included among such accomplished peers in the industry,” said Rabba. “This recognition reminds me that no matter what the odds are, you can always find success, especially in a country like Canada, where there is an opportunity to strive for your dreams and make a difference. It’s also an honour that I wish to share with everyone who has worked and continues to work with us to help us serve our neighbours and communities.”
Jack Rabba started Rabba Fine Foods after having immigrated to Canada in the 1960’s. The fact that Jack came from impoverished beginnings and worked for years just to be able to come to Canada makes this achievement all the more remarkable. Jack has left his mark on the Canadian grocery industry and impacted how urban communities think about grocery shopping. The Rabba Fine Foods brand has been indelibly etched into the history of Canada’s grocery industry.
“My father has always been a visionary and pioneer in the grocery industry,” says Rick Rabba, president of Rabba Fine Foods. “His relentless pursuit of excellence and dedication to serving our communities has shaped Rabba Fine Foods into what it is today.”
