A Game-day to Remember

Kirk McMahon of Good Shepherd Ministries fields questions from CTV News, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, as part of the Rabba Super Bowl events taking place at Good Shepherd and Covenant House in downtown Toronto. Launched in 2017, the events aim to draw attention to the growing problem of homelessness in the city and region.

Toronto, Ont., Feb. 2, 2020  – Rabba Roots turn a cold winter night into a warm Superbowl-viewing party with food, drinks, and the excitement of big-time tackles and epic touch downs.

Guests at The Good Shepherd and Covenant House watched the year’s highly anticipated sporting event with locals in the community and a warm game-day meal.

Viewers gathered around the center’s brand new 65” television, purchased and donated by Rick Rabba, president of Rabba Fine Foods, after their previous one broke down two days, before the viewing.

Excitement gathered as onlookers, watched the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs take the Hard Rock Stadium.

Most importantly, people were able to have, relax and enjoy the game.
