Holiday Shortbread Cookies


  • 1 cup of salted cold butter.
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar.
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of flour
  1. Knead by hand or mix with an electric beater, butter sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl until well combined.
  2. Add the flour and knead or mix until well combined and feels like play-dough.
  3. Form dough in a ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Roll the dough out until it is about 1/2 an inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Decorate as desired when cool!
